Creating a Great Bedroom with a Kid’s Chandelier

There are so many beautiful chandeliers available these days, and manufacturers have even kept our smallest citizens in mind by creating a wealth of creative smaller chandeliers just for them. You can find delightful new lighting options for the nursery all the way up through the teen years. You’ll be able to create a castle-like effect for your little princess, or a rough and tough ambience for your football star.

For your nursery, there’s a lovely chandelier available called “Butterflies and Bunnies”. A white rabbit is the centerpiece of the design while each arm is decorated to look like a tulip with a colorful butterfly perched on it. You can also find one with pastel Humpty-Dumptys sitting on the arms which would make a very sweet nursery look.

The Victorian Tea Chandelier would be darling in any little girl’s room. It is hand-painted in an array of lovely colors. The teapot makes up the center of the piece, and each arm has a teacup and shade. Another gorgeous little girl’s chandelier is the Five Arm Pink and Green Leaf and Flower Chandelier. It would provide a garden of pink flowers cascading from the ceiling, and you can even buy pink-flowered lampshades to complete the ensemble.

As your daughter starts to grow up, she’ll want something more sophisticated in place of her little girl chandelier. A Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen Warm Stripes Pendant might fill the bill. This light fixture is drum shaped with yellow and orange stripes (or blue and green) around the edges and a white glass covering the bulb. It is simple but has a lot of class. Or maybe she’d prefer a more traditional looking chandelier, such as the Blue Elizabeth.

A Home Run five arm chandelier would be perfect for your little sports star. The center post is a baseball bat, and each blue arm is adorned with both a baseball and a blue striped shade with an appliquéd baseball. It is so cute, and just perfect for a little boy’s room. He also might like a chandelier called Adam’s Airplanes. Each of the five arms have a brightly-colored airplane on it topped by a red gingham shade.

As your little one grows up might you might want to exchange Adam’s Airplanes for the Biplane Chandelier. The plane itself is the frosted light globe, and brushed nickel wings and accessories make it look oh so cool! It’s a much more sophisticated style that would be right for an older boy. In addition, you should take a look at the Pirate’s Chandelier. Each arm features a scurvy pirate topped with a skull-and-crossbones lampshade.

For teens there are a lot of really funky chandeliers available. The Shoes Chandelier for girls features brightly-colored shoes and fuzzy hat shades. A Bejeweled Beaded Rainbow is really cool and quite inexpensive. There are also many other beaded chandeliers available. For teen boys, you can find something like the Wiggly Collection Five Light Colored Glass Chandelier, or the Flame Chopper which has a motorcycle on it.

No matter what your style or price range, there are many kid chandeliers available online. In this article we only touched on a few, but there are lots more to choose from. There are actually hundreds of appealing designs, and you’ll be able to make your child’s room one-of-a-kind, just like your child is.
